About Us

Located in Poway, CA, P.R.E.P was established over 20 years ago to provide real estate professionals a way to network and promote real estate opportunities throughout San Diego County. PREP has evolved into the premier real estate caravan for Realtors®, Associated Affiliates, the clients we serve, and our communities. As a membership group we strive to market our clients properties and represent their interests in the most professional and respectful manner possible.

The networking sessions provide the membership a chance to gather and exchange ideas and share challenges that we face in our industry. The elected offices and board of directors strive to provide an informative and innovative platform and venue to conduct our business.

In short, PREP is just great way to meet other brokers and affiliates, as well as sharing and showing the latest real estate inventory in our communities. Our goal is to provide value and service to our clients, communities, and membership.

Non-members can simply pay $5 to attend or $15 to pitch a property on caravan. Click here to pay pitch or attendance fee.

Your dues dollars and fees go towards the payment of the venue, some of your refreshments, our website hosting as well as various administrative functions. Surplus funds are allocated as donations for local Poway Unified Schools in need, also known as P.R.E.P Kids. We depend on donations and the generous support and assistance from our volunteer members and affiliates to make this caravan and group successful.

President – 2011
Jeff Hans - Has been a licensed Realtor since 2001 and currently enjoys being an integral part of RE/MAX Ranch and Beach in Rancho Bernardo. Jeff and wife Loretta have lived in the Poway Unified School District since 1986 and raised both their children in our award winning school system. Having an 8 year background in the mortgage industry provides and excellent foundation for his real estate consulting services. Jeff is looking forward to assisting his colleagues in continuing to provide the superior level of community service and real estate professionalism that is associated with the members of the Poway Real Estate Professionals organization.

Vice President – 2011
Jason Taylor - A 30 year resident of Poway, has been a Realtor with Coldwell Banker and a member of P.R.E.P. since 2002. Jason has served multiple terms as a P.R.E.P. board member before embracing the role of Vice President this year. He looks forward to carrying on the close relationships and community atmosphere P.R.E.P. offers its members.  A devoted husband and dedicated father of 2 young children, Jason enjoys a balanced life of family, work and play.

Treasurer – 2011
Lisa McAfee - Received her B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, before moving to San Diego.  She has been in Real Estate for 7 years.  Prior to becoming a Realtor, Lisa was a Manager of Program Finance for two defense contractors.  This year Lisa is the Treasurer for the Poway Real Estate Professionals (PREP).  She was a Director on the Board the past 2 years and she enjoys her involvement with PREP immensely.  Lisa works all over San Diego County, but specializes in the Poway area.  She is married with a 17 year old daughter and she has lived in Poway for 16 years.

Secretary – 2011
Elaine Wealch - is serving her 4^th term as Secretary for the P.R.E.P Licensed as a Realtor since 2002, Elaine works as part of a team with her husband, Doug, at Prudential California Realty in Rancho Bernardo. Together they have consistently ranked among the top Prudential agents. Elaine was born and raised in Southern California and has lived in the San Diego area since 1979. She developed great people skills as a home day care provider for over 16 years. Elaine understands the need for trust, integrity and service in developing a relationship that creates a client for life. Elaine enjoys walking and is active in her Church.

John Olenik - Realtor Associate, Real Living Lifestyles Real Estate licensed since 1978, specializing in North SD County, Riverside and Rancho Bernardo. John joined P.R.E.P in 1995 and took an active role on the board, first as Treasurer for two years then Director last five years.  This in an effort to collaborate with other board members to help foster an awareness of what the P.R.E.P organization is all about and how the strength of the organization works for the benefit of all its members.

Dean Stalter - was born in San Diego but grew up on various Navy Bases across the country.  After graduating from The Ohio State University with a BS in Business Administration with a mayor in Real Estate he returned to San Diego and entered the Real Estate business in 1977. Working as a sales agent in resale’s and new construction and then managing Real Estate Offices for the last 34 years, I bring practical experience in our industry to the table.  Dean has been a member of P.R.E.P since 1998 and proud to serve on the Board of Directors for 2011.

Tom Kaa - has lived in San Diego since 1964 and moved to Rancho Bernardo in 1984. He has been a Realtor since 2005. Previous to 2005 he was Vice President of Operations for a company who owned restaurants and has been a leadership consultant, coach and trainer. He has been a P.R.E.P member since 2006 and joined the Board in 2011.

Maria Pena-Morales - The President of Team Q at RE/MAX Ranch & Beach. Her team ranks in the top 1% of all agents in the RE/MAX network and she holds several distinguished designations including GRI, CDPE, CIAS, SFR and SRS. Along with leading her team in real estate, Team Q participates in several community organizations and contributes a portion of every sale to the Children’s Miracle Network benefiting Rady Children’s Hospital. She also leads the San Diego RE/MAX offices in participation in the Home for a Cure effort of the Susan G. Komen organization. Maria also supports the Poway Center for the Performing Arts and her children all attended and graduated from schools in the Poway Unified School District.

Susan Marshall - Susan has been licensed since 1979.  She is currently a Broker Associate with Prudential California Realty in the Rancho Bernardo office. Susan understands the importance of being an active participant in the Real Estate industry. In 2002 she served as the President of the San Diego Association of Realtors.  She currently is a director for the California Association of Realtors as well as NAR in additional to being a newly elected director for the Poway PREP.  Being a full time Realtor is a way life and is a family affair working with her daughter Kelly Rudiger.

Donna Hayes - Donna is currently a Real Estate Consultant with Keller Williams Realty.  Originally from the East Coast, she has lived in San Diego since 1983. She is married to her husband, Terry, for 26 years and they reside in Poway, with their 2 fur babies, Bella Rose and Roxy. She has been active in P.R.E.P for the past 5 years, serving as Director and then as Treasurer for the past 4 years. Donna is honored to continue serving the Board as a Director.  “It is a great group of individuals committed to making an impact on the community in which it serves.”  She also serves on the Poway Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador and is active with the Poway Woman’s Club.
 

Affiliate Member Director – 2011
Caroline Hornblower - Has grown up in San Diego, and attended UCSB. After graduating, she moved back to San Diego, and began working in the title industry. She has been a member of P.R.E.P for 6 years now, and is excited to participate on the Board, serving as the Affiliate member. Along with P.R.E.P, she is also involved with the Boys and Girls Club and Big Brother Big Sister organizations. She enjoys running and traveling in her spare time.
